Starting at 12 noon on June 6, 2009, the freshly redesigned "Zille-Garten" at the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz will reopen for guests: Through 8pm, this year's traditional Asparagus Festival will feature not only the "royal vegetable", but also offer soused herring specialties and bock beer on tap. Guest at the event will be the Beelitz Asparagus Queen. In addition Klaus Rech, Kitchen Director in charge of F&B at the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz, invited three top chefs: Together with Heiko Götz and Hans Hoffmann (Let's go Magic) as well as Christian Lohse (The Regent Berlin, 2 Michelin stars), he will be offering various dishes involving asparagus. The chefs will be available to guests to answer questions all about the "royal vegetable" and reveal their asparagus recipes. Fresh asparagus can be purchased at the stand operated by the Spargelhof Kleistow (Buschmann & Winkelmann). Asparagus buyers can have their asparagus peeled on the spot by an automatic peeling machine.
"Zille-Garten" presents its new design
Just in time for this year's Asparagus Festival, the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz will finish redesigning its "Zille-Garten". The garden connected to the "Zille-Stube", where local specialties from Berlin and Brandenburg are served along with barbecued food and beer under the open sky, is now visible from Alexanderplatz itself with additional greenery that enhances its garden character.
